About Me

My name is Dawn, and I started out as a stock photographer in 2011.

I graduated with my BA (Hons) in Photography in July 2019 at The Northern School of Art, and I achieved First Class Honours.

During that time I found an interest in a number of photography genres, such as fashion, portrait and medium-format landscape images.

I'm available for commissions, and I have full public liability insurance for your peace of mind here.

My Work

My commercial work is mostly based in food photography, and it tends to be client focused and delivered to a brief. Many of the food images you see on this website were created for one of my clients, Ciaopeople Media Group.

When I’m not working for clients, I enjoy working on personal photography projects that can encompass a number of genres.

Some images in my personal work section were shortlisted as finalists in the AOP Student Awards 2019, and the Eizo Student Awards 2019.

I also write articles, tutorials and blog content about photography for various clients, as I enjoy passing on my knowledge of photography and post-processing to readers.

I live just outside the Cathedral and university city of Durham, in the North East of England.

You can get in touch with me to talk about a possible commission, to buy prints, (or even just to chat about photography and writing), through my "Contact" page, or email me: dawngilfillan169@gmail.com
